The Canada’s Luckiest Newcomer contest offers one Grand Prize and four Additional Prizes. The organizers may add more Additional Prizes during the contest period.
Each prize requires a separate entry, which participants can complete by clicking the opt-in or “enter now” button linked to the specific prize in the contest registration feed or dashboard.
The Grand Prize:
One selected winner receives $20,000 in the form of a cheque issued by CIBC.
Additional Prizes:
1. The Embark RESP Prize provides $10,000 for each child under 18 years old for whom the winner is the parent or legal guardian, up to a maximum of four children or $40,000 in total.
The prize must be deposited into Embark RESP accounts for the benefit of the designated children. Children must be under 18 as of the draw date and/or born before 10 months after the draw date.
Each child must have a valid Social Insurance Number when the RESP account is opened. The winner is responsible for paying any applicable taxes.
2. The Huggies Prize is a $2,000 cheque issued to the winner.
3. The P&G Essentials Prize is a $2,000 cheque issued to the winner.
4. The Unilever shopping spree prize is a $2,000 cheque issued to the winner.
All prizes must be accepted as awarded, with no substitutions unless the sponsor decides otherwise. Winners are responsible for paying any applicable taxes and any costs not specifically included in the prize descriptions. All amounts referenced in the contest rules are in Canadian dollars.

There are two ways to enter the contest.
Method 1: Online Entry
Participants can visit Canada’s Luckiest Newcomer 2026 and sign in using their Canadian Newcomers Network (CNN) account. Those who do not have an account must create one by providing a valid email address, choosing a password, and entering their full name, birth date, and home postal code.
Participants must also agree to receive Commercial Electronic Messages (CEMs) from the Canadian Newcomers Network. They may unsubscribe at any time by visiting 55 Rush or by using the unsubscribe option within any CEM. Unsubscribing will not affect their contest entry or chances of winning.
After logging in, participants must complete the entry form for the Grand Prize and for each Additional Prize they wish to enter. In some cases, they may need to agree to allow CNN to share their registration information with the prize provider for email marketing purposes.
Participants may unsubscribe from those communications at any time without affecting their contest entry or odds of winning. Certain prizes may also require additional actions, such as downloading an app or completing another task. Participants must click “enter” to confirm their entry and agree to the contest rules.
Each participant receives one entry for submitting the Grand Prize form and ten entries for each Additional Prize they choose to enter.
Method 2: Mail Entry
Participants may also enter by mail. They must write their full name, email address, age, phone number, and complete mailing address including postal code on a plain white sheet of paper no larger than 8.5 by 11 inches. The entry must also include their signature.
The completed entry should be mailed in an envelope with sufficient postage to the following address:

The attention line on the envelope must read “Canada’s Luckiest Newcomer 2026” followed by the name of the specific prize.
Entries must be postmarked during the contest period and received no later than November 6, 2026. Participants must send a separate envelope for each prize they wish to enter. The contest organizers are not responsible for lost, delayed, or damaged mail. Each valid mail entry provides ten entries for the selected prize.
Entry Restrictions
Each person may register only once for the contest, regardless of the entry method used. Only one account and one set of entries are permitted per participant.
Using multiple names, email addresses, identities, or accounts to submit multiple entries is strictly prohibited and will result in the immediate disqualification of all entries associated with that individual.
Any attempt to bypass these rules through the use of multiple devices, proxy servers, or other technical methods will also lead to disqualification.

Extra Entries
Participants can earn up to 2,300 extra entries by completing actions such as following social media, sharing content, visiting websites, or completing surveys listed on the contest page.
Alternatively, they may request all extra entries by mail using the standard mail-in format and writing “Extra Entries” in the attention line.
How Winners Are Selected
Winners are selected by random draw on November 7, 2026 at 4:00 PM ET in Toronto. The first valid entry drawn wins the Grand Prize and any other prizes they entered, if eligible.
If the winner did not enter all prizes, separate draws will be held for the remaining prizes. Winning odds depend on the total number of eligible entries received.
Winner Verification Process
The sponsor will try to meet the selected winner in person within 30 days after the draw. If not possible, they will attempt to contact the winner by email. If the winner cannot be reached within 40 days, an alternate winner may be selected.
To claim the prize, the winner must correctly answer a math skill-testing question and sign a release form within 5 business days. Failure to do so may result in disqualification and selection of a new winner.
